Then that fantasy will be shattered by suddenly having that power taken away. Teleport is a very important aspect of the spellcaster power fantasy. It sets the player up for a bad user experience. But completely disabling the entire skill in certain areas? Not a good change. The damage debuff is another good change.

I love that Senpai and his devs are taking Teleport seriously. Sorry for the essay, but I feel very strongly about this. That zone now will be a good T key drop zone and more accessible for mele classes becuase I only ever really made sorcs my self just to farm keys becuase running countess/summoner on mele class just sucked.

I personally see now downside to cold plains being teleport free zone as in the 20years of the game I can't think of single time I have ever gone there in any difficulty to farm besides maybe act1 in normal just to get the merc and even then that's just to do the quest and not farm it itself. If you go back on his streams and watch them he shows these areas on how they work. The new key drop locations have also been buffed to have the same hardness to them as other locations just, more teared to mele classes so everyone has an area more to there class for farming keys efficiently. The other zones are still teleportable and would still be faster to do on a teleport class then on a mele class. Teleport is only locked in the new areas for keys becuase they are intended to make key farming for the mele classes easier on them.
